What They Are Looking For
The company is seeking a
Quantity Surveyor
to join their commercial team based in
County Meath
. The role will report directly to a Senior QS or Commercial Manager and will work closely with site teams and subcontractors across live projects.
This position has been created to support an expanding workload driven by repeat clients and new project wins. The QS will be involved across both
pre- and post-contract
stages, taking responsibility for cost control and commercial delivery while developing broader exposure to estimating and procurement.
This role will suit a locally experienced QS who enjoys a balanced office-based role with regular site interaction and who is keen to build long-term career progression within a growing Irish contractor.

Responsibilities
* Pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties
* Measurement and preparation of cost plans and budgets
* Procurement of subcontractors and supplier packages
* Cost control, reporting, and forecasting
* Preparation and submission of AFPs
* Management of variations and change control
* Agreement of final accounts
* Support estimating activities during tender stages
* Liaison with site teams and regular site visits (approximately once per week)
Criteria for the Role
* 2–5 years' experience
in a Quantity Surveying role
* Local experience within the
Irish or UK market
* Background with a main contractor preferred
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Strong understanding of both pre- and post-contract processes
* Commercially aware with good attention to detail
* Confident communicator able to work closely with site teams
