Overview
In this role, you will be part of a compliance team responsible for monitoring and reporting on compliance and other risks. Based on the trading floor, it involves working closely with traders and operations teams. Ideally, but not essential, you will already have a good knowledge of the types of financial instruments traded by Susquehanna, making this a superb opportunity to work within a true front office trading environment.
In the role you will:
* Develop an understanding of how the business operates to ensure that the firm’s trading complies with regulatory requirements.
* Carry out compliance monitoring and analyze compliance exception reports. Liaise with trading and operations teams to investigate issues.
* Monitor the firm’s algorithmic trading activity in real-time.
* Analyze market abuse alerts and complete Suspicious Transaction and Order Reports (STORs).
* Assist in ensuring compliance with trading venue rules and regulations such as MiFID II and EMIR.
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting requirements, including MiFIR Transaction Reporting, EMIR, and post-trade transparency regimes in the UK and Switzerland.
* Oversee onboarding and approval processes for new counterparties, ensuring compliance with account opening and anti-money laundering procedures.
* Assist in themed reviews of various business areas.
* Update procedures and compliance processes, suggesting improvements where necessary.
What we're looking for:
Experience:
* Degree in business, preferably in finance or law.
* Experience in compliance within the financial sector is advantageous.
* Compliance-related qualification is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
* Interest in financial markets and understanding of financial instruments.
