Summary

As Head of Organisation Development – Operations, you’ll partner with business leaders and P&O colleagues to tackle the most complex organisational challenges across Novartis. Your work will be instrumental in unlocking value, driving sustainable transformation, and advancing our mission to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead and develop a team of OD Directors, ensuring strategic priorities are met and capabilities are continuously elevated. About the Role

Responsibilities:

* Partner with senior leaders to diagnose and solve complex organisational challenges across global business units
* Lead high-impact organisation design, development, and change management initiatives aligned with strategic goals
* Manage and develop a team of OD Directors, ensuring effective prioritization and delivery of work
* Act as a senior consultant, simplifying complexity and enabling business performance through tailored interventions
* Oversee a portfolio of OD projects, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants
* Facilitate cross-functional consulting teams to deliver integrated solutions across P&O and beyond
* Build organisational capability through strategic team and leadership development initiatives
* Drive adoption of professional OD practices and toolkits across the global P&O community
* Ensure delivery of OD projects to scope, quality, and timelines, with measurable business impact
* Serve as a thought leader, shaping OD practices and building capability across the global P&O network

Essential for the role:

* Minimum 15 years of experience in organisation development, consulting, strategy, or transformation roles
* Proven expertise in leading complex, global OD and change management projects
* Strong presence and ability to influence senior executives through consulting and facilitation
* Demonstrated ability to diagnose organisational issues and design impactful interventions
* Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking with a pragmatic, business-focused mindset
* Experience working in high-pressure, ambiguous environments with global, cross-functional teams
* Relevant degree and postgraduate qualifications in business, behavioural sciences, or related fields
* Fluent in English with outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
