Responsibilities of a General Manager Include
* Work closely with operating, managing, and trading directors to maximise the overall profitability of the business.
* Deliver on all business KPI’s, P&L and company goals.
* Ensuring company policies and procedures are strictly implemented.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service, engagement and store standards which involves determining the needs of the customer.
* Supporting, leading and developing a commercial and operational team ensuring best in class, engagement and standards.
* Verify that every department functions effectively and in accordance with company standards.
* Create reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to examine performance and trends, suggest product, commercial and operational changes to support productivity and profitability.
* Regulate store capacity to create income opportunities. Oversee the store’s operations, work flow, inventory, storage, reporting, and loss prevention measures.
* Verify that all paperwork adheres to corporate and legal standards.
* Conduct business audits whenever necessary.
Skills Required for this General Manager Job
* 5+ years senior store management experience in fashion, nonfood, or grocery retail management.
* Excel at leading a team of over 50 people
* Extensive P&L experience, with a cohesive grasp on profit and margin control
* Passionate, with a strong drive to deliver excellence
* Exceptional administrative, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
* Commercial and operational leadership experience
