There will also be opportunities to support across National Team communications.Please note this role will involve working outside of normal office hours including working weekends at matches. There is also the possibility of foreign travel with the Ireland National Teams.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSOperational & Functional:IRFU Director of Communications;IRFU Content LeadIRFU Senior VideographerWORKING RELATIONSHIPSIRFU Head of CommunicationsIRFU Communications ManagersTeam Management and Players;IRFU Directors;IRFU Staff;Commercial and Marketing;The Irish Rugby Videographer will have the following qualities:EssentialEnthusiastic professional with minimum one year post-qualification experience of working in a full-time or freelance capacity as a videographer.Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Premier ProExperience editing both long form and short-form content and delivering content in multiple dimensions for different social media platforms.Knowledge of stabilisation equipment, lighting and sound recording equipmentA passion for sport, working in a professional sports organisation and the fast-flowing and demanding nature of live action video capture.When required, is an independent worker who is comfortable directing, setting, lighting and recording location shoots.Someone who has experience with production workflows and can work under pressure as match day deadlines can be based on quick, quality turnarounds.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally between internal departments and externally with various key stakeholders within Irish Rugby.Flexible approach to working hours as dictated by the demands of the role.DesirableKnowledge of After Effects is helpfulRegistered drone operatorPrevious experience working in a sporting environment or team/organisation.An interest in rugby and a general understanding of the structures within Irish Rugby.A general interest in sport and a knowledge and interest in digital media and latest trends in social media.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Videographer will be responsible for the development, production and delivery of Irish Rugby video content for Irish Rugby social media channels.Work across elements of the Grassroots game, supporting projects involving IRFU partners and sponsors and assisting National Team communicationsWork with the Content Lead and other members of the Communications Team to identify video opportunities.Develop high volumes of video content within a quick timeframe.Encode final videos for a variety of platforms and file formats.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work required from the position.
