This transformation spans core operational systems, digital services, and data capabilities that underpin critical national services.As part of this journey, they are seeking an experiencedIT PMO Analystto support and enhance the maturity of their Project Management Office (PMO) function within a complex Group Technology Services (GTS) environment. This is a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape, and the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening project governance, controls, reporting, and delivery assurance across multiple strategic initiatives.You will work closely with the PMO Manager, project managers, and senior stakeholders to drive project management excellence and provide robust insights to support effective decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with project management standards and governance by reviewing key artefacts (ROM estimates, project briefs, plans, schedules, RAID logs, etc.).Support the continuous improvement and standardisation of project governance methodologies across the portfolio.Collaborate with project managers to develop and review project charters, plans, and resource requirements.Track and report on project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits, proposing mitigation strategies where required.Develop and produce PMO reporting, dashboards, and management information packs for senior stakeholders.Analyse project and portfolio data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Support capacity planning, resource forecasting, and resource levelling activities.Monitor project budget codes and track spend against forecasts.Manage elements of the financial lifecycle, including purchase orders, invoice processing, and payment tracking.Build strong relationships with PMO and delivery stakeholders to expand and enhance PMO services and value.Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience working in a PMO or portfolio management environment.Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).Hands-on experience with project management and reporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project (or similar).Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and governance.Education & QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).Formal Project/Portfolio Management certification (PMI / PMP / PRINCE2 or similar) is strongly preferred.
