React UI Developer
My client is an international banking and financial services organisation with an excellent culture and a reputation as a great place to work.
They operate a hybrid model with three days on site in their Dublin offices.
About the Position
My client is seeking a highly skilled React UI Developer to infuse their team with innovative ideas and daring solutions.
In this position you will be responsible for building new User Interface for a Finance control tool application to replace the current VB6 UI.
The role is part of a critical application in the finance team; the team of 11 is spread across a number of locations and the application supports 500+ daily users.
This role is critical to implementing new bank‑wide development processes, upgrading the associated toolset to latest technologies and ensuring compliance with bank policies and standards.
Experience & Requirements
Strong/expert React 18 or above development skills.
Typescript
Material‑UI and Material Design Principles
Graph QL and Apollo for REST‑ful API
Code Gen to generate user friendly Graph QL queries
AG Grid
React Book Forms
Good working knowledge of GIT
Knowledge and experience of Agile and Lean software development practices
Experience of enterprise application development.
Exposure to Continuous Integration and Test‑Driven Development (TDD).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven global team interaction.
Willingness to learn, adopt and advance team best‑practices, procedures and qualitative standards.
Willingness to own issues and chase them through to completion, communicating effectively and in a timely manner.
Good team communication, with experiences in sharing and presenting new ideas and approaches with the team.
Additional Preferences
Investment banking experience, with front or middle office team experience advantageous.
Appreciation of Risk Awareness (inc.
Operational, Compliance, Business & Reputational).
Remuneration Package
Attractive daily rate on offer along with a high performance environment and strong possibility of contract extension.
