About Your New Job
* Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
* Oversee scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and systems within the R&D and GMP facilities.
* Respond to corrective maintenance requests promptly, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
* Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and documentation standards during maintenance activities.
* Equipment Repair and Troubleshooting:
* Repair and maintain facility infrastructure including fume hoods, lab equipment, CO₂ incubators.
* Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring issues to drive effective CAPA and long-term solutions to minimize downtime.
* Vendor Management:
* Oversee external contractors and vendors performing maintenance or servicing of equipment.
* Obtain quotations, schedule services, and manage supplier relationships.
* Monitor contractor performance, ensuring all work is performed in line with the facility's safety and quality requirements.
* Compliance and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs using CMMS.
* Ensure all maintenance procedures are compliant with regulatory and safety standards.
* Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
* Safety and Training:
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
What Skills You Need
* Trade-qualified in either mechanical or electrical discipline.
* Proven experience in a maintenance role within a GMP or Development environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
* Experience with vendor management, including the coordination and oversight of contractors and service providers.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external vendors.
