Job Description
Overall Purpose
Senior Project Manager will plan, manage and deliver complex technology and regulatory projects within the financial mortgage sector, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timely execution and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple project workstreams, both technical and business-focused.
Lead project teams through documentation, delivery phases, using Waterfall and Agile processes; oversee development, testing and deployment of new and existing systems.
Serve as primary client point of contact, manage communications, provide project updates and ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinate project planning, risk management, change control and status reporting.
Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; develop risk management plans.
Ensure full documentation and audit‑readiness with compliance teams.
Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Work with the Development Manager and AWS Manager to ensure alignment with technology strategy and architectural standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key business and change stakeholders.
Translate regulatory change initiatives into clear technical and operational deliverables.
Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to support audits.
Track and report on benefits realisation, ensuring measurable business value post‑implementation.
Lead post‑implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions.

Qualifications
Required Skills

Minimum 8+ years of experience in project management within the financial services or mortgage sector.
Proven experience managing SDLC projects using Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
Strong background in banking institutions, especially the mortgage sector.
Excellent stakeholder management up to Board level and strong communication skills.
Experience managing project budgets, timelines and resourcing plans.
Ability to manage cross‑functional and geographically dispersed teams.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Project or similar.

Preferred Skills

Formal project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile Scrum Master.
Familiarity with mortgage origination and servicing systems.
Ability to develop detailed project plans (scope, timelines, budget, resources).
Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; make sound decisions under pressure.

Complexity
Direct experience interacting with banks or regulatory bodies, audits and compliance reporting. Senior PM must navigate ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities and balance internal delivery with regulatory compliance.
Influence
High visibility; influence decision makers across Technology, Risk, Compliance and Business Operations; regular interaction with senior leadership and regulators.
Resource
Senior PM will lead cross‑functional delivery teams. Resource alignment and prioritisation with functional leads including the Development Manager, QA Lead and BA Manager.

Reports to senior leadership and project steering committees.
Engages with external regulatory bodies and financial partners.
Oversees budget allocation, resource planning and vendor engagement.
Demonstrates high integrity and discretion handling sensitive regulatory information.
Full‑time, flexibility required to meet project deadlines.
Hybrid work model with occasional travel.

Some roles are Control Functions ("CF") as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010. For CF roles, appointment will be conditional on meeting Fitness and Probity Standards 2018 issued by the Central Bank of Ireland.
