Our client is seeking a proactive and credible HR Advisor to join their dedicated HR team. In this key role, you will support the HR Business Partner in delivering an efficient and effective generalist HR service that aligns with best practice, legal requirements, and our wider people and business strategy.
As HR Advisor, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day HR operations, contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and providing expert guidance across all areas of the employee life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the delivery of the Group People Strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals
2. Provide advice and support on employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances
3. Ensure policies and procedures are up to date, legally compliant, and consistently applied
4. Manage and maintain accurate employee data and records
5. Lead on absence management processes and reporting
6. Promote ethical practices and contribute to maintaining the Pillar Book
7. Coordinate with Occupational Health and support well being initiatives
8. Assist in the delivery of Learning and Development programmes
9. Assist with resource planning, recruitment, and on boarding
10. Foster effective communication and employee engagement across the site
11. Provide timely HR advice to support operational and strategic decision-making
12. Raise and manage HR tickets in line with agreed service levels
13. Participate in HR projects, conferences, and cross-site initiatives
14. Monitor and report on key HR metrics (absence, retention, turnover, agency usage)
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
15. Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or in a generalist HR role
16. Strong organisational and administrative skills
17. Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders
18. In-depth knowledge of employment legislation
19. Proficient in using HR systems
20. Personable and professional with excellent communication skills
21. Problem-solving mindset and practical approach
22. Flexible and adaptable team player
Desirable:
23. CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
24. Experience in manufacturing or food industry environments.
