Production Manager Location:Mayo (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent ________________________________________ Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to lead the scale-up and day-to-day management of our manufacturing operations.
This senior leadership role is instrumental in driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality products and services to our global client base.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in regulated industries such as life sciences, biopharma, biotechnology, veterinary, or Contract Research Organisations (CROs), with a proven ability to lead teams, optimise production workflows, and contribute strategically to business growth.
________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Lead the expansion and optimisation of production operations to support the companys growth objectives.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing production team in a regulated, science-led environment.
Oversee all aspects of manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
Manage end-to-end production processes, delivering on key performance indicators for output, cost, efficiency, and timelines.
Implement and uphold best practices in quality, safety, hygiene, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with senior leadership to inform strategic planning, including capacity planning, international expansion, and partnerships with CROs.
Support financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of grant applications.
Represent the production function at client engagements, industry conferences, and professional events.
________________________________________ Candidate Profile: Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in production or manufacturing within a regulated industry (life sciences, biopharma, biotechnology, veterinary, or CRO).
Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline such as science, engineering, or business.
Demonstrated expertise in managing complex production operations, with strong operational oversight and decision-making skills.
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performance teams.
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and quality compliance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to align production objectives with broader business goals.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
