Funbugs is looking to expand its management team and seeking someone who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a professional team of leaders. The members of the management team work together to plan and organise within the creche, and to effectively manage the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of child care and development, in a safe and nurturing environment.
Role and responsibilities include:
· Promoting high standards of care & education.
· Ensuring that the welfare & needs of each child are met at all times.
· Ensuring the setting is providing a child–led environment which engages and challenges children.
· Knowledge of NCS and Pobal schemes
· Implementing an emergent play-based Aistear Curriculum
· Supporting staff in fulfilling their roles & goals.
· Developing & maintaining positive relationships with parents & staff.
· Ensuring the crèche is adhering to all up to date Health & Safety standards.
· Ensuring the crèche is compliant to all Funbugs Childcare policies & procedures.
You will be required to have the following skills:
* A broad knowledge of childcare regulations and experience working with Tulsa and other stakeholders.
* An understanding of implementing an Aistear based Curriculum.
* Extensive experience with Early Years Hive and PIP portal.
* Be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
* Possess strong organisational and administration skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Have an understanding of the financial aspects of running the business.
* Well-honed Leadership skills.
* Good Computer Skills.
The successful candidate must have
· Minimum QQI Level 7 in early childhood education or similar discipline approved by DCDE is essential
· A Management Qualification is an advantage.
· At least 2 years' experience in a Management or Supervisory role.
· Must have an awareness of child protection policies and procedures, in line with Children First, including the ability to analyse sensitive situations and create action plans and strategies where necessary.
· Excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with all parents & staff.
· Excellent leadership skills.
· Strong computer skills.
· Some understanding of the financial aspects of running the business.
