REACH Regulatory Consultant
Exponent invites applications for the REACH Regulatory Consultant role within our Industrial Chemicals group for our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice.
The position supports project teams working on regulatory submissions for industrial chemicals in the EU and UK and may be based from any of our UK, Dublin, Germany or Switzerland offices or remotely.

Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced REACH Regulatory Consultant to provide leadership and support to project teams working on regulatory submissions.
The role involves strategic advice to clients and colleagues, staying current with EU and UK REACH developments, managing regulatory projects, acting as the primary client contact, maintaining client relationships, aiding new business development, and mentoring junior team members.
You will be responsible for
Providing strategic advice to clients and colleagues
Keeping up to date with developments concerning EU REACH and UK REACH
Managing REACH regulatory projects and providing technical and regulatory consultancy services, primarily to industrial clients in the chemicals sector
Acting as the primary client contact and ensuring registrations are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within agreed budgets
Maintaining excellent client relationships to ensure repeat business and enhance Exponent's reputation for impartial regulatory and scientific advice
Assisting in the development of new business with existing and new clients
Mentoring and assisting in the personal development of junior members of the industrial chemicals team
Skills and Qualifications
BSc degree or above in a scientific discipline
Excellent working knowledge of EU REACH and UK REACH
Good working knowledge of worldwide industrial chemical regulations, and practical experience in managing global regulatory projects would be an advantage
Proven track record of working in regulatory affairs for industrial chemicals and managing regulatory projects
Experience in preparing dossiers in IUCLID
Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain complex regulatory issues
Strong organizational and project‑management skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Strong commitment to delivering high quality work that exceeds clients' expectations
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Experience in business development would be a distinct advantage
Staff management experience would be a distinct advantage
