OverviewWe’re looking for a BMS Automation Engineer to join the Automation team. You’ll focus on supporting the site’s BMS/HVAC systems while also contributing to wider automation and data historian systems. This role is key to ensuring systems are compliant, reliable, and optimized for manufacturing performance.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, operate, maintain, and administer automation systems with emphasis on BMS/HVAC.Manage third-party vendors and system integrators for both projects and sustaining activities.Review, approve, and implement design documentation and project standards.Provide automation expertise to engineering and operations teams for design and sustaining decisions.Develop SOPs to ensure compliant management of all automation systems.Support validation activities and ensure automation systems remain in a qualified state.Deliver solutions across automation platforms within change control processes.Lead or support automation projects and provide training on automation aspects of equipment.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.5+ years’ experience in automation within GxP environments.5+ years’ experience supporting BMS/HVAC in a manufacturing setting.Strong knowledge of Siemens Desigo is a must have; Siemens PLCs, SCADA/HMI, or Neuberger ProGrafNT a plus.Experience managing system integrators and supporting manufacturing facilities.Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Ethernet, Modbus).Familiarity with OSI PI historian, SQL Server, virtualization, and IT systems is advantageous.Solid understanding of cGMP requirements and GAMP best practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Other Information.Industry: Biopharmaceutical manufacturing.Role involves both project and sustaining activities, with opportunities to lead internal automation projects.Sound Like You?You’re an experienced automation professional with a strong background in BMS/HVAC systems and a solid grasp of GxP compliance.
