We have partnered with an industry-leading provider of analytical instrumentation that is looking for a Sales Specialist to join their team and take ownership of a well-established territory across the South and West of Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your scientific knowledge with a consultative sales approach, supporting customers across pharma, water, materials science, and academic research sectors.
Role responsibilities:
If successful, you will manage and grow a high-potential territory with a strong existing customer base. You will:
* Promote a comprehensive portfolio of Chromatography (GC, LC) and Spectroscopy (UV, IR, AA, ICP, ICP-MS) instruments.
* Identify new opportunities and respond to tenders and proposals with tailored solutions.
* Maintain long-term relationships with technical stakeholders and purchasing teams.
* Collaborate with technical and applications teams to ensure customer success.
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback.
* Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and on-site demos.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone scientifically educated, ideally with a degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field. You should:
* Be commercially aware
* Have experience in scientific sales is a plus, but candidates with hands-on lab experience using relevant instruments are strongly encouraged to apply
* Personable & driven – Strong communicator with a proactive mindset and a consultative approach to sales.
* Mobile & flexible – Comfortable travelling within Ireland 3–4 days a week.
* Language & logistics – Fluent in English, with a full Irish driving licence.
