Clinical Facilitator - Radiology
for a
leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland
.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered radiology services aligned with the hospital's mission, values, and standards of care.
Coordinate and deliver education, training, orientation, and professional development programs for Radiographers, HCAs, undergraduate, postgraduate, and newly qualified staff.
Support clinical adaptation and assessment programmes, ensuring candidates achieve required competencies and learning outcomes within designated timeframes.
Provide direct clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to staff and adaptation candidates, promoting evidence-based practice and clinical excellence.
Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies, protocols, guidelines, competencies, and best practice initiatives within the Radiology Department.
Collaborate with Radiology Managers, Clinical Coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to identify training needs, improve clinical practice, and enhance patient outcomes.
Lead and support quality improvement projects, clinical audits, data collection, reporting, and accreditation activities to maintain high standards of care.
Promote compliance with professional, ethical, legal, health and safety, data protection, and regulatory requirements, including CORU standards and hospital policies.
Provide clinical and professional leadership, fostering a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, innovation, and staff development.
Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with staff, departments, preceptors, candidates, and external stakeholders to support service excellence.
Requirements
Demonstrate the clinical, managerial, and administrative competence required to effectively perform the role.
Possess experience in teaching, mentoring, and assessing Radiographers within a clinical setting.
Have experience conducting clinical audits and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, fostering a culture of openness, collaboration, and professional accountability.
Promote continuous professional development, lifelong learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration across teams.
Possess well-developed education, coaching, leadership, and staff development skills.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Radiography practice, healthcare service developments, professional education, and practice development.
Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, IT, and organizational skills, with a commitment to quality, ethics, and professional growth.
