This is a full-time position for a Graduate Civil Structural Engineer based in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. The successful candidate will be involved across a diverse range of engineering sectors, including:Structural Steel DesignTimber Frame DesignReinforced Concrete DesignTemporary Works DesignRefurbishment and Strengthening Works (including Historic Buildings)Project Management and Coordination from concept stage to practical completionCivil Engineering Design (i.e. Roads, Drainage, SuDs, etc)The role will involve a mixture of design work in the office and on-site visits, inspections, and meetings.This position is particularly suitable for a graduate engineer who intends to pursue Chartered Engineer / Chartered Structural Engineer status with Engineers IrelandAnd / OrThe Institution of Structural EngineersAnd / OrEngineers Europe.Qualifications & AttributesBachelor / Master Degree in Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 1 year internship or work placement experienceStrong understanding of structural analysis software, such as Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, or IDEA StatiCa (experience with any of these is an advantage)Basic understanding of Trimble Connect and Revit for coordination of 3D models with BIM Technicians & Multidisciplinary teamsStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D for updating drawings as requiredHolds a Full Category B Driver's Licence in IrelandExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
