About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and service as a hands-on leader.
* Recruit, train, and develop new and existing staff to ensure a cohesive team dynamic.
* Create innovative menus that showcase local produce and cater to diverse tastes.
* Sourcelocal products from trusted suppliers to maintain high standards.
* Maintain excellent food quality, GP, and wastage control through regular monitoring and assessment.
* Achieve and sustain a consistently high level of food quality while adhering to established SOPs for efficiency and consistency.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience as a Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in a busy 4/5* hotel or upmarket restaurant.
* Proven track record in menu planning for restaurants and functions.
* Excellent financial acumen and ability to achieve exceptional GPs and Food Costs.
* Culinary expertise, creativity, and knowledge of industry trends.
* Lewis leadership skills, remaining calm under pressure and motivating team members.
* Strong communication and organisational abilities.
* Ability to produce exceptionally high-quality food.
* Possession of a passion for cooking, reflected in creative menu designs.
* Eligibility to work full-time without restrictions.
