Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Professional
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at our client site in Cork, Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality facilities management services, including:
* Maintenance of building fabric and equipment;
* Assisting the engineering team with planned preventative maintenance tasks;
* Ensuring H&S compliance among contractors and staff;
* Conducting property and facility inspections;
* Maintaining an internal 'Best Practice' regime and encouraging continuous improvements;
* Liaising with the service desk and responding to non-technical queries in a timely manner;
* Carrying out reactive tasks to repair building fabric;
* Assisting with the moving of plant and equipment as required by the client;
* Performing daily checks on site according to client requirements;
* Fabric maintenance, including painting and decorating, door furniture, and office furniture;
* Assisting subcontractors with their tasks, such as signing in and showing them around the area;
* Reporting any out-of-place findings to the contract manager;
* Assisting with the writing of procedures;
* Monitoring subcontractors and their associated services;
* Ensuring all facilities activities and requests are tracked and resolved in a timely manner according to the SLA;
* Providing feedback on each issue;
* Liaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems;
* Completing training deemed necessary by your line manager within the agreed timeframe;
* Taking on ad-hoc projects as required by the Client and/or Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar position and environment;
* Experience of the mechanical element of building services would be a distinct advantage;
* Ability to work independently with minimal direction;
* Excellent customer service skills;
* Good communication skills;
* A willingness to take ownership of certain functions allocated to the role.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 3:30 PM.
