We are looking for a
Sales Representative
in Athgarvan Road, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Newbridge W12W951 IRL. Your mission will be to:

Drive commercial growth for Mérieux NutriSciences Ireland by promoting our comprehensive portfolio of analytical testing solutions. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing client portfolios, and strengthening long-term partnerships within the food manufacturing, processing, retail, distribution, and foodservice sectors. The ideal candidate brings strong consultative selling skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to translate technical laboratory and regulatory concepts into meaningful customer value.

Key Responsibilities

* New Business Development
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Mérieux NutriSciences' strategic priorities and service capabilities.
* Conduct targeted outreach to expand brand presence within the assigned territory, including manufacturers, processors, ingredient suppliers, distributors, and retailers.
* Develop and execute territory and account plans to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.

Account Management &Customer Partnership

* Manage and grow a defined portfolio of clients by understanding their operations, challenges, and food safety objectives.
* Conduct regular business reviews and cross-sell Mérieux NutriSciences' full service portfolio (chemistry, microbiology, nutritional labeling, allergens, shelf life, pathogens, consulting, training, auditing, sustainability, and more).
* Build strong internal relationships with Customer Care, Operations, Technical Teams to ensure seamless project execution and exceptional service quality.

Consultative & Technical Selling

* Present and explain testing programmes, regulatory requirements, and FSQA solutions-positioning Mérieux NutriSciences as a trusted scientific partner.
* Work with technical experts to develop tailored proposals, RFP responses, and pricing strategies.
* Stay informed on relevant food safety regulations (FSMA, HACCP, GFSI, ISO), quality standards, and industry trends impacting clients.

Collaboration & Reporting

* Maintain accurate activity, opportunity pipeline, and customer information utilising internal systems.
* Provide sales forecasts, territory updates, and market intelligence to Sales Leadership.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to support campaigns, promotions, and new service launches.
* Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, seminars, and client meetings.

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.

* 2-5 years of B2B sales or business development experience; experience in food safety, laboratory testing, TIC, or related scientific services strongly preferred.
* Proven success in consultative selling, territory management, and building long-term customer relationships.
* Familiarity with food safety and regulatory frameworks (FSMA, HACCP, GMP, GFSI, ISO is an asset.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to understand technical scientific information and translate it into customer-focused solutions.
* Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a drive to achieve commercial goals.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and customer needs simultaneously.
* IT proficiency, particularly using Google Suite.
* Willingness to travel within assigned region (70-80% depending on territory).
