Join to apply for the Technical Project Manager role at The Recruitment Company. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join a global organisation with a major presence in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a multi-year, international programme of work.
The role requires a strong background in IT project delivery within global, matrixed organisations, with experience leading multiple workstreams and working across different cultures and time zones. Prior technical experience with infrastructure (Network & Compute), SAP-based warehouse management systems, and a background in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Role Overview
As Technical Project Manager, you will:
* Lead project planning, design, and execution phases, including Stage Gates.
* Manage risks, stakeholders, escalations, and present updates to steering committees.
* Produce weekly status reports, governance packs, and project communications.
* Manage cross-functional teams across global sites to ensure timely updates.
* Support and mentor other project managers or staff performing PM functions.
* Oversee project pipelines and interdependencies through portfolio forums.
* Engage with the Global PMO and strategy teams on new initiatives, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with project management audit controls.
Essential Criteria
* 7+ years’ IT Project Management experience leading projects.
* Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
* Proven track record managing multiple projects and presenting to leadership teams.
* Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Office 365, PPM tools).
* Comfortable using Azure DevOps (ADO).
* Solid technical understanding of IT delivery projects (Compute, Network, Software Solutions).
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Project Management qualification (PMI, PMP or equivalent).
* Experience mentoring and leading validation phases of projects.
* Ability to work effectively in complex, global, matrixed environments.
