Facilities & Utilities Engineer
Sigmar Recruitment is currently hiring a
Facilities & Utilities Engineer
for a leading pharmaceutical organisation.
This role reports to the Head of Engineering and is responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of facilities, utilities and laboratory infrastructure across multiple sites.
You will play a key part in day-to-day maintenance activities, equipment uptime, vendor coordination and ensuring the site remains fully compliant with GMP standards.
What you'll be doing
Coordinate maintenance activities across facilities, labs and utilities
Report issues/incidents and ensure maintenance records are accurately logged
Liaise with internal teams to support lab and office facility needs
Manage external contractors, vendors and service providers
Oversee RAMS, permits-to-work and compliance documentation
Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities
Log all works via PMAC/Asset Tiger
Complete routine facility walkdowns to prevent downtime and identify risks early
Maintain a safe, audit-ready working environment
Support ad-hoc facilities and engineering tasks as required
What you'll need
3+ years' experience in
cGMP pharmaceutical operations
3+ years' within
GMP manufacturing
Aseptic experience is an advantage
Strong background in maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment support
Problem-solving capability (5 Whys/DMAIC desirable)
Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced regulated environment
