Tipperary. The organisation operates an enterprise and training centre and a purpose-built childcare facility providing pre-school, crèche and full day care services. Core funded through the Community Services Programme and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, the company has supported local development since the early 2000s.The General Manager will oversee the overall operation of the organisation, including enterprise, training and childcare services, and work closely with a voluntary board of management. The ideal candidate will have management or supervisory experience, familiarity with government-funded programmes, payroll and accounts systems, and knowledge of the local development and social enterprise sector. Strong communication, IT and leadership skills are essential. Evening and weekend work may be required. The role is subject to Pobal funding, Garda Vetting and a full clean driving licence. A qualification in Community Development/Business Studies/Management/Early Years or relevant discipline would be advantageous. Previous experience of management or supervisory roles. Experience of Pobal or Government funded programmes. Experience in Payroll/Computerized accounts/Revenue (ROS). Supporting the development of social enterprises and have an excellent working knowledge of the local development Sector. Excellent communication skills and IT skills. Experience of working in a voluntary organisation or with a voluntary board of management would be a distinct advantage. Motivation, energy and an ability to work with, and lead within a team setting.
