Job Title: Director of Process Engineering and Automation

As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for leading the automation team to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant provision of automation resources across the site. Your expertise will be crucial in formulating and driving the site's automation strategy and interfacing with the corporate automation function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide daily operations management, ensuring the provision of automation resources for day-to-day support of operating areas.
* Manage the link between the team and key customers, internal and/or external.
* Develop and implement process automation strategies and plans at the site, including capital, expense, and staffing planning for process control.
* Establish and maintain relationships with control system vendors and negotiate new equipment and services.
* Responsible for the technical and personal development of the process automation team, including supervision and administration of company policies.
Personnel Management:
* Plan, agree, monitor, and measure team goals and business plans.
* Translate team goals into individual performance objectives.
* Ensure ongoing continuous improvement and future planning.
* Establish and maintain safety, GMP, and environmental standards.
Site Management:
* Manage site events in conjunction with other site management members.
* Contribute to site planning processes, such as HR, business, scorecard, capital, and action planning.
* Support site management decisions and strategy.
Strategy Development and Implementation:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of site strategy.
* Build the organization with the necessary capability, capacity, and culture to operate the facility to the highest standards of excellence.
* Develop and implement systems and processes needed to run the site, leveraging existing knowledge and practices where necessary.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence by supporting lean principles and a digitally native approach.
Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or qualifications in other relevant engineering disciplines with appropriate experience.
