Job Description:
A Maintenance Academic Instructor is required to conduct daily academic instruction on regulations, publications, aircraft systems, and aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved Training Support Packages (TSPs). The instructor will deliver instruction for Professional Military Education (PME) courses, including the Aviation Maintenance Advanced Leader Course (ALC), Aviation Maintenance Senior Leader Course (SLC), Flight Operations Advanced Leader Course (ALC), and Flight Operations Senior Leader Course (SLC).
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct daily academic instruction on regulations, publications, aircraft systems, and aircraft maintenance.
* Deliver instruction for PME courses, including ALC, SLC, ALC, and SLC.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for formal course students.
* Facilitate practical exercises, provide training support, and conduct after-action reviews (AARs) to enhance learning outcomes.
* Provide input for the development and revision of instructional materials, including Programs of Instruction (POI), Course Management Plans (CMP), Student Evaluation Plans (SEP), Lesson Plans (LP), Flight Training Guides (FTG), and Exceptions to Policy (ETP).
* Persuonally coordinate daily tasks and requirements, such as work schedules and leave, to ensure alignment with mission training requirements and schoolhouse accreditation standards.
* Cross-train in Common Core Competencies (CCC) for Flight Operations and Flight Operations Re-classification Training.
* Ensure compliance with applicable Army, National Guard, and policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Report instructor contact hours and operational data for the Monthly Report.
Requirements
* High School Diploma with 6 years' of applicable experience or Bachelors' Degree with 2 years' of experience.
* Prior academic instructor at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School (USAALS), Army National Guard Aviation Training Site (AATS), or equivalent.
* Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualified; or successfully graduate from a AATS provided ABIC course within 3 months of contractor employee start date.
* Must meet instructor qualification requirements as defined by the Aviation proponent and IAW TR 350-10, TR 350-70.
* Recipient of aviation maintenance MOS qualification through an approved USAALS/AATS or other service equivalent course.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Salary Range: $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
