Customer Service Manager
for a leading organisation operating within the hardware and building products sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to lead and develop a team while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across the business.
The Role
The Customer Service Manager will oversee the Customer Service teams within the Hardware Division, ensuring efficient order processing, strong customer engagement and excellent service standards.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to drive continuous improvement across customer service systems, processes and procedures.
This is a leadership role requiring strong communication, organisational and people management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead and manage Customer Service teams across multiple locations.
Provide guidance, support and mentoring to team members.
Promote a positive, solution-focused and collaborative working culture.
Customer Service Excellence
Ensure consistently high standards of customer service delivery.
Manage and resolve escalated customer issues professionally.
Support field sales teams with accurate and timely information.
Process Improvement
Review and enhance customer service systems and processes.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and communication.
Analyse customer feedback and operational data to drive improvements.
Training & Development
Deliver training to strengthen customer service skills and product knowledge.
Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics teams.
Ensure smooth order fulfilment and product availability.
Experience & Skills Required
Minimum
5 years' experience in a similar management role
.
Proven experience managing and developing customer service teams.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong IT skills (ERP system experience advantageous).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
