Social Care Worker required for adolescents in a secure care environment
Location: Limerick
Job Specification
* Provide care and support to adolescents from ages 12 – 17 years
* Contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment and to a high standard of child care practice throughout the unit.
* Contribute to the provision of a programme of stimulating activities for the children and young people.
* Ensure that all relevant records within the unit are updated regularly.
* Provide support to young people to engage with educational activities.
* Support young people in maintaining contact and access visits with their family.
* Adhere to the organisational policies and reporting requirements.
* Observing and recording observations of the young people in the care of the service.
Person Specification
* Experience working with adolescents ideally in a residential care/secure care environment.
* Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
* Relevant degree in Social Care.
* Flexible to work roster arrangement as required.
This role offers great experience, Tusla pay rates and a secure care allowance
