We provide 24-hour, world-class acute care services, including a comprehensive cancer centre, cardiology, emergency department, orthopaedics, women's and men's health, urology, vascular surgery, ENT, plastic surgery, neurology, health screening and general surgery.
This is an exciting time in the development of the hospital. We have received full planning permission to develop the adjacent Hotel premises and convert the building to become an expansion of the hospital facilities. This will increase our inpatient beds from 181 up to 251 and increase our operating theatres from 8 to 12. We will also be more than doubling the size of our Emergency Department and expanding our Oncology centre. We expect this work to commence over the next couple of months. .
In early April 2024, the group was purchased in full by Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) a European Infrastructure Fund from our current shareholders. MAM will be a long-term investor, keen to support the rapid expansion of hospital facilities.

About the team:
The Finance team plays an integral role within in the organisation and is responsible for all reporting to the Board and Senior Management as well as operating Payroll and Accounts Payable. Payroll is a team of 3, with the Payroll Manager reporting into the Head of Finance.

The Payroll Administrator will work within the Finance Team & assist with the accurate timely and efficient running of a busy payroll office servicing 1,800+ employee
Key Responsibilities
* Assistance in maintaining correct payee records on the Megapay system
* Assistance in the timely and accurate delivery of the weekly and monthly payroll for 1,800+ staff
* Assistance in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Revenue Returns
* Checking and recording employee expenses
* Responding to payroll queries for employees in a timely manner
* Implementation of Payroll best practices
* Preparing ad hoc payments on Banking online
* Other finance duties such as banks reconciliations, generating PO's, unblocking invoices etc

You will be aware of the confidential nature of Hospital work and in particular, the right of patients to confidentiality. To this end you will not discuss workings of the Hospital or its patients with people outside the Hospital, save as required to do so in the course of your work.
The extent and speed of change in the delivery of health care is such that adaptability is essential in this position. The incumbent will be required to maintain and enhance their professional knowledge, skills and aptitudes necessary to respond to a changing situation.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent
* IPASS Qualified
Experience
* +3 years payroll experience
* Megapay or Similar payroll software experience

* High level of attention to detail, integrity & organizational skills
* Ability to work under pressure & adhere to deadlines
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required
