Reservations, Meetings & Events ManagerThe Carlton Hotel Blanchardstownis currently inviting applications for an experienced and motivatedReservations, Meetings & Events Managerto join our senior management team.At The Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown, our passion is delivering consistently high standards of personal service while maximising revenue opportunities across all areas of the hotel. Reporting directly to theRevenue Manager, this role is responsible for the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of the Reservations and Meetings & Events Department, ensuring that guest expectations are exceeded at every stage of their journey.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Reservations and M&E Department, including bedroom, group, conference, and event bookings. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Reservations and Meetings & Events officeSupervising and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in taking, recording, amending, and cancelling reservationsMaximising room revenue, occupancy, RevPAR, and event revenue through yield management, pricing, forecasting, and revenue analysisUpdating hotel availability and managing inventory in line with market demand, contracts, and competitive influencesManaging group quotations, room blocks, and event proposals from enquiry through to confirmationEnsuring all client and guest enquiries are responded to promptly and professionallyGaining a full understanding of client requirements for meetings and events, including room setup, catering, and operational needsCreating tailored event proposals in line with client expectations and senior management approvalLiaising closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and operational departments to ensure seamless service deliveryManaging PMS data, online revenue tools, reservations backups, and departmental reportingProducing accurate forecasts, statistical reports, and financial records, including weekly forecastsProcessing no-shows and ensuring accurate daily revenue captureHandling guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely mannerPeople Management, Training & StandardsLeading, motivating, and developing the Reservations and M&E teamEnsuring hotel standards, SOPs, and brand guidelines are consistently achievedConducting regular staff appraisals, training reviews, and induction programmesAssisting with recruitment, disciplinary, and grievance procedures in line with hotel policyPromoting high standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and professional conductMaintaining excellent communication through daily briefings and regular departmental meetingsHealth & SafetyEnsuring full compliance with all health, safety, and fire proceduresReporting and documenting all accidents and incidentsMaintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised working environmentThe Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a driven, hands-on professional with strong commercial awareness and a passion for service excellence.
