We are seeking an experienced Accounts Technician to join our team. As an Accounts Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with client accounts management, preparation and review of year-end accounts, management accounts and financial statements.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and review year-end accounts, management accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
* Handle VAT returns, self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax computations.
* Ensure all submissions comply with HMRC deadlines and regulations.
* Support clients with bookkeeping services, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance and cash flow management.
* Provide strategic business advice to clients, helping them with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for all their financial needs.
* Identify and implement efficiency improvements, both internally and for clients.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience proven in an accountancy practice, managing multiple clients and delivering comprehensive services.
* Proficient in accountancy software such as Xero, Quick Books or Sage, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax legislation and compliance requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients.
* Comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines with accuracy.
* Willing to embrace technology and innovative solutions to improve service delivery.
