We are partnering with a growing and globally connected pharmaceutical manufacturer seeking an EHS Manager to lead and shape their Environmental, Health & Safety strategy. This is a high‑impact leadership role where you will drive safety culture, influence operations, and play a key part in continuous improvement across the organisation. This is a fully onsite role based in the West of Ireland, offering strong visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to make a real difference.The OpportunityThis is more than a compliance role. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and embedding best‑in‑class EHS practices across a complex manufacturing environment. You will work closely with site leadership, operations, and external bodies to ensure the highest standards of safety and environmental performance.You will also play a key role in developing your team, improving systems, and driving initiatives that enhance both employee wellbeing and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and drive the company’s EHS strategy, aligning with business goals and continuous improvement initiativesOwn site‑wide EHS compliance, audits, and safety programmesMaintain and enhance the Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organisation through a proactive risk management approachLead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing EHS teamOversee occupational health programmes, promoting wellbeing and proactive health initiativesManage emergency response planning and ensure readiness through regular testingAct as the key contact for regulatory bodies, audits, and external stakeholdersDrive incident reporting, root cause analysis, and preventative actionsDevelop and roll out EHS training and communication programmes across the businessEnsure compliance with chemical safety and dangerous goods regulationsOversee contractor safety and ensure adherence to site standardsSupport sustainability and ESG initiatives and reportingProvide clear EHS performance reporting to senior leadershipKey Skills and Experience RequiredA minimum of 8 years’ experience in EHS, ideally within a manufacturing environmentPrevious experience in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical or GMP manufacturing is highly desirableProven leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and influence teamsStrong knowledge of EHS regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk managementExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience working with chemical safety and industrial safety systemsA proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving abilityAbility to operate both strategically and hands‑on when requiredQualifications RequiredDegree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related disciplineRecognised Occupational Health & Safety qualificationWhy ApplyThis is a standout opportunity to step into a leadership role with real influence and visibility.
