The Vacancy
We are currently recruiting a Project Management Engineer to deliver client-side services in the Water Sector in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in a team responsible for major project delivery, focusing on scope, budget, schedule, and risk management within a major capital investment program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accountable to the Programme Manager for project/contract delivery, including design, procurement, construction, budget management, scheduling, and quality.
* Ensure project delivery dates are met.
* Manage project approvals and gate processes, producing necessary documentation.
* Review project progress, budgets, changes, risks, and issues; produce and circulate reports and scorecards.
* Manage relevant stakeholders and ensure appropriate consultation.
* Develop and review cost estimates and contractor deliverables.
* Contribute to project performance data collection and reporting, working with the Commercial team on issues resolution.
* Promote a flexible approach to change, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure health and safety commitments are upheld.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in construction or infrastructure projects of similar size and complexity.
* Experience in wastewater/water treatment and contract administration is desirable but not mandatory.
* Relevant third-level qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
* Experience working on-site is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Report writing skills and computer literacy.
