Overview
On behalf of our client, a global leader in technology, we are seeking a
Senior Financial Analyst
to join their EMEA Finance hub in Cork.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and statutory compliance of this ambitious project across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End:
Lead month-end closing activities, including detailed analytical reviews and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
Strategic Business Partnering:
Act as a key liaison for internal departments such as Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Transfer Pricing to ensure aligned financial strategies.
Global Standardisation:
Work alongside international accounting hubs to streamline processes and implement best practices for reporting efficiency.
Statutory Compliance:
Oversee the preparation of high-standard financial statements and manage local GAAP adjustments for statutory trial balances.
Audit Management:
Facilitate and support the external audit process, ensuring all documentation and queries are handled with precision.
Technical Advisory:
Apply robust technical accounting knowledge to provide clear guidance on complex, large-scale business transactions.
Key Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
A strong background in financial reporting and accounting, ideally cultivated within a Big Four firm or a large-scale multinational environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a natural aptitude for leveraging IT to automate processes and enhance data analysis.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of IFRS or European accounting, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, evolving industry.
