Job Description:
This role is for a dynamic and enthusiastic Account Manager to join the expanding Commercial team at Version 1. The Version 1 brand is increasingly recognised in Ireland, UK and the US, and we want someone with a strong entrepreneurial flair to join the team and grow and expand current business with existing customers. The role will suit an individual who has the drive to carve out their own niche, whilst having the support of a successful sales and marketing team behind them. You will be an excellent communicator who knows how to deliver sales excellence. You will have a track record of selling business-led solutions and IT managed services into private sector and public sector customers. You'll naturally be a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimum direction.
Primary responsibilities include:
1. Identifying and targeting areas for growth.
2. Account Management and business development of existing Version 1 customers.
3. Contract renewals, expansions, cross-selling other Service Lines or new lines of business.
4. Collaborating with our Marketing team on campaigns, events, and direct calling initiatives.
5. Working with Version 1 partners, technology, and specialists for customer and company benefit.
6. Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and managing the full sales cycle.
7. Negotiating contracts covering consulting, fixed-price development, and managed services.
Qualifications:
* Experience in customer-facing roles, especially in Sales, Account Management, or Business Development within the IT industry, with exposure to managed and consulting services.
* Proven success in selling solutions at a senior level.
* Knowledge of industry sectors, compliance, and industry change drivers.
* Understanding of the software development lifecycle from conception to managed services.
* Experience in commercial discussions, including pricing, revenue, margins, and contracts.
* Track record of exceeding targets in at least 3 of the last 4 years.
* IT consulting experience.

Desired Qualifications:
* Sales & Account Management experience, including client meetings and contract negotiations.
* Experience working with Managed Service delivery teams in onshore/offshore contexts.
* Experience developing long-term opportunities via proposals, bids, and tenders, including fixed-price and T&M projects.
