Centre Manager
Coolebridge care are now seeking a Social Care Manager to join our Residential service in Dublin 6, supporting separated children seeking international protection. These young people, all under 18, are separated from their families and in need of safety, stability, and care. Services are 24-hour, 365-day residential services.
Your working hours are Monday to Friday 9 – 5 or as business requires.

The Role
The Centre Manager is tasked with ensuring the effective and efficient management of the centre, aligning with national standards, and Health Information and Quality Authority (TUSLA ) regulations. This role is pivotal in providing a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for young people and staff, with a focus on excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including IPAS, Fire Safety, TUSLA standards for health and social care services.
* Child Protection and Welfare: Implement, monitor, and enforce Child Protection & Welfare Policies in accordance with national legislation, and TUSLA guidelines to safeguard the welfare of all children within the centre.
* Health and Safety Management: Oversee all aspects of health and safety within the centre, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and TUSLA standards for safety and quality.
* Staff Training and Development: Facilitate comprehensive training programs for staff, including child safeguarding, health and safety, fire safety, and food hygiene
* with an emphasis on continuous professional development and adherence to TUSLA guidelines.
* Inclusivity and Accessibility: Manage the centre to ensure it is accessible and inclusive, meeting the specific needs of all young people, in line with TUSLA 's standards for accessibility and inclusivity.
* Quality Assurance and Improvement: Regularly monitor, evaluate, and report on the quality of care and services provided, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed TUSLA standards.
* Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and maintain robust emergency preparedness and response plans, conducting regular drills in accordance with guidelines to ensure readiness and safety.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with local communities, external agencies, and healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery, in line with TUSLA recommendations.
* Policy and Procedure Implementation: Ensure that all centre operations and activities are governed by clear policies and procedures that are in compliance with requirements and TUSLA standards.
* Young peoples Feedback Mechanism and Engagement: Establish and maintain effective feedback mechanisms for young people and staff, promoting a culture of openness and continuous quality improvement in line with TUSLA 's focus on service user involvement.
* Other:
* To engage with and build professional trusting relationships with individual young people treating them with dignity and respect and working within the values of Coolebridge.
* To provide a safe, trauma informed living arrangement for Young people, in line with the National Standards Governing Childrens Young person ial Centre's, and Coolebridge Policies and Procedures.
* To take guidance from the Senior Management Team in the delivery of services, to ensure that the highest possible standards of care are maintained within the Centre.
* To ensure that complaints are addressed as per policy and responded to appropriately.
* To protect each young person from bullying and intimidation and resolve conflict effectively.
* To review with staff the development and management of a comprehensive placement plan which is, actioned, followed, and evaluated with input from and in partnership with, the young person, the staff team, and other relevant parties, ensuring that the voice of the young person is heard.
* To ensure the centre is operating in line with security systems and health and safety measures and to ensure the safety of all young people, staff and visitors.
* Provide written reports on any aspect of the service as requested.
* To undertake training identified for professional development and to participate fully in regular supervision, debriefing and team meetings.
* To promote positive working relationships with organisations such as IPAS, TUSLA, Gardai, schools, neighbours, and other similar agencies.
* To be fully conversant with the Coolebridge Policies and Procedures and the National Standards and Framework for Monitoring of International Protection residential Centre's, Tusla National Standards for childrens residential services and how both are applied in practice.
* To work effectively as part of a team and being open to reasonable requests from Senior Management in order to ensure effective working relationships.
* To assist and contribute to the quality agenda in order to ensure that a consistent delivery of service and quality standards are adhered to in the centre.
* To observe all Health and Safety policies of the centre and to be involved in continual quality improvement in order to ensure that the security of the building is always maintained day and night
* Any other duties which are deemed reasonable by the Regional Manager or the Director of Services, including emergencies.
Essential requirements
A minimum level 8 degree in Social Care and 4 years' experience of working in a social care grade with young people.
A current full clean driving license prior to commencement of employment.
OR
Level 7 in Social Care and a relevant management qualification, and 4 years' experience of working at a social care grade with young people.
A current full clean driving license prior to commencement of employment
