Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Ballymoney require a Gardener/Green keeper to join their team.
Location : Ballymoney Hours of Work : 37 hrs per week Hourly Rate : 1-12 week £12.74 13 week £13.69 Main Duties : Oversee horticulture and/or fine turf maintenance works in Council facilities, public parks, sports grounds and similar open spaces, to the standards required.
To present a courteous attitude at all times by assisting with the promotion of good working relationships between Council staff and members of the public.
Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Essential Criteria : An NVQ Level 2 qualification in Horticulture or Sports Turf or equivalent qualification which is relevant to the post.
OR Demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of 18 month's horticulture and/or fine turf maintenance experience gained in a commercial setting to include: supervisory experience; planting duties, such as planting design, propagation, construction, weeding and shrub care; maintenance of soft landscaping; irrigation and drainage work; fine turf construction/ repair/maintenance (bowling/golf/tennis surfaces);set-up, safe use and routine maintenance of horticultural and grounds maintenance equipment,to include the use of powered and manual hand tools and ride on grounds machinery.
A full current driving licence (Category C1, valid in the UK).
