Head of Strategic Infrastructure & Technology
Role and Responsibilities
The role encompasses leading initiatives in offshore wind, thermal, flextech, and e-fuels, as well as overseeing a comprehensive grid and infrastructure plan in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Be responsible for formulating a future market plan to safeguard the company’s interests and enhance market positioning out to 2050.
Portfolio Management: Lead a team managing a diverse multi-portfolio of technologies, including offshore wind, thermal, flextech, and e-fuels, to align with the company’s long-term vision for 2050.
Develop a roadmap for technology deployment and infrastructure investments that supports sustainable growth and operational efficiency, working with the Finance team to ensure the plan is deliverable.
Stakeholder engagement: Represent the organization in public consultations, forums, and industry events, effectively communicating the company’s strategic vision and objectives.
Lead management of joint venture partners or key stakeholders in technology or infrastructure development segments.
What you need:
Honours Degree in Engineering, Commercial, or Renewable Energy – essential.
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Management, or Commercial (advantageous).
Professional subscription or affiliation (desirable).
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Renewable Energy or Infrastructure.
A proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
Experience collaborating with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.
Experience within sectors such as Renewable Energy, Power Generation, Technology, or Grid Infrastructure.
Management-level experience.
Strong leadership skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent project management, strategic planning, and execution capabilities.
Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, energy markets, and grid infrastructure.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in customer management and managing commercial contracts.
Knowledge of energy policy and regulatory environments.
Highly adaptable and innovative, with strong problem-solving abilities.
