## Job Description**Job Title:** Roe & Co Distillery Brand AmbassadorFixed term contract, full-time**Context/Scope:** In January **** Diageo announced a move to enter the Irish whiskey market with the launch of Roe and Co Premium Blended Irish whiskey and a €25M investment to revive The ****s Guinness Power Station at St. James's Gate into a new Urban Distillery with Malt whiskey at its heart.
Anchoring the Roe and Co brand firmly in the heart of the liberties within a stone's throw from St. Patrick's tower, the last relic of George Roe's great distillery.Set in the heart of the original Golden Triangle of Irish Whiskey, our Urban Distillery endeavours to create lifelong advocates in the visitors who join us at our Home in Dublin 8.
A successful candidate will welcome guests to our home, and showcase the spirit of collaboration, innovation an exploration that lays at the core of Roe & Co Irish Whiskey.Set across the 120 capacity Power House Bar & 60 seat cocktail garden, whiskey, cocktails and food come together, our two show-stopping experiential tour rooms and our boutique distillery store, this is a Whiskey experience like no other.
Roe & Co Distillery brand Ambassadors will work across all areas of the business to deliver an incredible guest experience and convert our visitors into Roe & Co ambassadors in their own right.
**Market Environment / Complexity**The role will be based primarily in the Roe & Co Distillery Experience, involving connecting with guests at our Brand Home, dealing with members of the public, industry professionals, Diageo partners and stakeholders, both internal and external.In their day-to-day role as tour guides and hospitality professional, they will work to actively turn guests into brand advocates by delivering unforgettable experiences.
The ambassador will act as whiskey and cocktail educators for guests, delivering training and acting as whiskey consultants on various aspects of drinks and service and they are a vital resource for sales teams to support and encourage customers in engaging with our portfolios.
**Leadership Responsibilities/ Key Stakeholders:**Roe & Co Distillery Ambassadors report into the Operations and Assistant Operations Experience Managers.Distillery Ambassadors will primarily engage with public guests and also with media and industry professionals.
**Purpose of Role**The role of a Roe & Co Distillery Ambassador is to generate advocacy for the Brand and Brand Home, by delivering incredible guest experiences in a high-end service environment, through guiding guests through our distillery experiences, boutique retail offering and Food & Beverage programmes.The role requires the highest standards of customer and professional service, while upholding standards of procedural practice in line with the quality management systems that drive excellence within Irish Brand Homes.
**Top 3-5 Accountabilities**Distillery Ambassadors are responsible for delivering consistent Brand Messaging and the "Roe & Co story" to our guest on all experiences within the distilleryAmbassadors must provide the highest levels of service to guests in our food and beverage areas, while working within the service systems set by management.Ambassadors are accountable for stock control and cash handling in their day-to-day duties.Ambassadors are responsible for maintaining the wellbeing of themselves, other staff and guests while in the experience.
**Qualifications and Experience Required**High End Hospitality Service Experience is essential, with a preference for experience in cocktail, spirits and food focused environmentsWorking in a face-to-face hospitality/ tourism venue focused on customer experience is essential**Barriers to Success in Role**Poor communication skillsPoor presentation skillsInability to work in a team and rely on others**Location / Flexible Working Options**Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
