National Sales Manager

My client is a leading distributor of innovative medical technologies across Ireland. With dedicated divisions in sterile medical devices, wound care, and other healthcare specialties, we partner with clinicians and healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes and deliver exceptional value.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales Manager to lead and develop sales organisation across all divisions. This senior leadership role will focus on building a high-performing sales team, driving growth strategies, and ensuring delivery of ambitious commercial objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales leadership, strategic planning, and execution nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop the national sales team across multiple divisions.
* Define and implement the company’s sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue and market share targets.
* Build strong relationships with key customers, procurement groups, and clinical decision-makers nationwide.
* Work closely with the marketing and product management teams to support new product launches and promotional campaigns.
* Analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
* Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Drive cross-divisional collaboration to maximise commercial opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years’ proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within the medical devices or healthcare sector.
* Strong track record of delivering growth and leading high-performing teams.
* In-depth understanding of the Irish healthcare market (public and private).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
* Ability to inspire and motivate teams across multiple territories and product lines.
* Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
