eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Security Engineer/Analyst .This is a daily-rate contract position located with our client in Dublin. Hybrid options avaialble.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures.
2. Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
3. Perform both internal and external security audits.
4. Analyse security breaches to identify the root cause.
5. Coordinate security plans with outside vendors. Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk management program.
6. Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
7. Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
8. Stay current on IT security trends and news.
9. Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
10. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Qualifications:
11. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related IT field.
12. Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CompTIA Security+
Experience:
13. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a security analyst/engineering role.
14. Proven experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
15. Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies within an organisation.
16. Cyber Forensics / Data Analysis using ELK stack experience.
17. Microsoft Defender Technologies.
18. Experience working in information risk and security-related best practices and awareness of the policies, standards, and regulations. (e.g. in areas such as IEC, IEC, NIST CSF and NIS Directive).
Skills:
19. Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, etc.
20. Proficient in firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, web proxy/web gateway, Cloud Application security and Security Audits.
21. Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
22. An in-depth understanding of ICT systems with particular reference to cyber threats.
