PQ Accountant/Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to take the next step in their career. This role would also suit a part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) who wants to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Location: Macroom
Salary: DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and review of Management Accounts
Present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Accounts Manager
Identify and resolve financial control issues, suggesting improvements where needed
Evaluate and implement effective internal controls
Oversee the Accounts Payable function
Manage working capital and cash flow
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Provide financial control services to clients
Candidate Profile:
Experienced Accounts Assistant (3 plus years required)
Part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part-experienced in a similar role
Proficient in accounts preparation and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to train and supervise junior staff
Competent in IT and accounting software
Excellent organisational skills, able to work independently and meet deadlines
Retail sector experience (advantageous but not essential)
Immediate availability (highly desirable)
Qualifications:
Accounting Technician (ATI) qualification
Currently studying for a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
