Revenue Control Accountant As a Revenue Control Accountant within Bus ireann, you will play a key role in safeguarding revenue integrity and ensuring the accurate end-to-end processing, reconciliation and reporting of all revenue-related transactions. This role requires a strong commitment to integrity, honesty andethicalworkingpractices,withfulladherencetointernalcontrolsandcompliancestandards. You will be responsible for maintaining robust financial controls across invoicing, credit management, cash handling and system interfaces, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of customer and revenue data across multiple systems. Working closely with internal operational teams, finance colleagues and external stakeholders, you will support the efficient operation of revenue processes, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, controls and reporting. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and detail-focused individual with strong SAP and reconciliation experience, excellent problem-solving ability, and the capability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-system environment. This is a 2 year contract position and will be based in Bus ireanns Broadstone head office in Dublin. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepareandissuecustomerinvoicesaccuratelyandontime. Maintainandupdatecustomermasterdata,ensuringaccuracyandcompliancewithcontrols. Processancillaryservicesbillingandfollowuponrelatedtransactions. Managesalesdistributionandaccountsreceivableprocessestoensureaccuraterevenue recording. Overseecreditcontrol,includingproactivedebtmonitoring,follow-upandescalationof overdue balances. Administerstandardfaresnoticesinlinewithprocedures. Performandreviewcashandbankreconciliationsacrossmultiplesystemsandlocations. ReconcilecashcollectionsincludingTVMs,physical lodgmentsandnationwidecash handling activities. Reconcileandvalidatethird-partycashhandlingcharges. ReconcileonlinesalesandEFTtransactionstobankaccountsandsupportingrecords. Prepareandpostmanualjournalsforrevenuerecognition,adjustmentsandcorrections. Investigateandresolvediscrepanciesanderrorsacrossrevenuesystems,ensuringaccurate and complete reporting. Design,documentandmaintainSOPsforrevenue-relatedprocesses. ManagetheAccountsRevenueinboxandensuretimelyresolutionofqueries. SetupcustomerrefundsinSAPinlinewithapprovedprocedures. Reviewandapproveperiodicrevenuejournals. Liaisewithinternalandexternalstakeholders,includingInternalAudit, andCashoffice as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, control and accuracy across revenue processes. KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Must be fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Strongunderstandingofaccountsreceivable,creditcontrolandrevenuecontrolprocesses. Experienceinperformingcomplexreconciliationsacrossmultiplesystems,cashstreamsand operational locations. Strongknowledgeoffinancialsystems,revenueinterfacesandend-to-endtransaction processing. ProficiencyinSAP(orsimilarERPsystems),includingjournals,customersetupandfinancial controls. Stronganalyticalskillswiththeabilityto analyse,resolveandexplaindiscrepanciesin complex datasets. Highlevelofaccuracy,attentiontodetailandstrongcommitmenttodataintegrityand financial control. AdvancedExcelskillswithstrongoverallITcapabilityandcomfortworkingwithmultiple systems. Excellentcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills,withexperienceengaging across internal teams and external parties. Strongorganisationalandtimemanagementskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultiple priorities and deadlines.
