TÚS Employment Programme Supervisor Ongoing Temporary Contract (no end date) Full Time
South Dublin County Partnership (SDC Partnership) is a Local Development Company primarily funded by the Irish Government to bring together local communities and state agencies to tackle the problems of unemployment and social exclusion. We develop projects and services to support sustainable and vibrant communities where people can realize their potential and experience a high quality of life.
The focus of our activities is on areas where people experience disadvantage and our programmes of work are organised across key thematic areas: Community Development, Enterprise and Employment, Lifelong Learning, Children & Families and Health and Well Being. SDC Partnership manages a large Tús Employment Placement scheme within South Dublin County under contract for The Department of Social Protection (DSP).
The role of SDC Partnership is to provide a meaningful work experience programme for each Tús programme participant.
About the role:
Job Purpose:
To ensure the effective, efficient management and co-ordination of the SDCP Tús Employment Placement Scheme. To support Tús participants towards gaining the skills and competencies required in preparation for employment.
Reporting to: Tús Manager
Key responsibilities:
Recruit, support and manage a target case load of Tús participants including:
1. Promotion of Tús project,
2. Participant progression planning,
3. HR – timesheet management, grievance and disciplinary matters etc.
4. Recruit, manage and maintain cohort of community-based host organisations. Stakeholder management – funders, Tús Placement host organisations, community agencies, internal SDCP Departments etc.
5. Administration & file management in line with organisational, funder and data protection regulatory requirements.
6. Work in collaboration with SDC Partnership's Health and Safety Officer to ensure Health & Safety protocols are implemented.
7. Participate in regular case management meetings with Tús Manager.
8. Engage with ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
9. Any other duties as assigned by management Person Specification Qualification and/or experience
10. A relevant qualification or equivalent in experience.
11. Proven experience of working in a community work or related field or experience of managing worker.
12. Experience of stakeholder engagement and collaborative working.
13. Proven experience of working to targets.
Skills & Attributes:
14. An understanding of the issues facing people who are long-term unemployed. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
15. Excellent communication skills.
16. A strong ability to empathise with and motivate people.
17. Good IT skills and proficient in MS Word packages.
18. Excellent team working skills.
19. A full clean drivers' licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes.

Post: Tus Supervisor – Full Time Ongoing temporary contract
Location: The successful Team Supervisor will be based either in South County Dublin, generally Clondalkin or Tallaght and is subject to change.
