This role is responsible for maintenance, engineering, and project management within the Greenogue Packaging division and potentially the wider Greenogue site operations. The successful candidate will support the facility and production through effective maintenance programs and engineering functions, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and supply standards are met, while demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills. They will oversee the delivery of maintenance and development CAPEX projects, including feasibility studies, design, HAZOP, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and contractor management to ensure project efficiency.
Note: The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, as part of the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety
* Promote a Safety First culture through positive communication and leadership.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations. Review and update SOPs with stakeholders as necessary.
* Report incidents or concerns immediately and take appropriate action.
* Collaborate with HSE officers on safety initiatives and inspections.
Facility and Production
* Ensure safe and efficient plant operation to meet performance targets.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
* Manage maintenance team and contractors to meet production needs with minimal disruption.
* Enhance facilities and reduce breakdown incidents through proactive maintenance strategies.
* Manage third-party contractors, controlling costs and maintaining safety standards.
* Oversee site facilities management.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects and team meetings.
* Maintain critical parts and consumables stock, and order as needed.
* Coordinate site tasks based on priorities, ensuring HSE compliance.
People Management
* Foster a positive culture where employees take responsibility and suggest improvements.
* Train operators and ensure training records are current.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in Project Management.
* Engineering qualification or equivalent preferred.
