Who are we looking for?
Fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to support the Portfolio management strategy in Carne Group - the premier provider of Fund-Management solutions to asset managers across the world. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Senior Portfolio Manager to perform investment controlling assessments, and analysis of portfolio holdings, including valuation reviews. In this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of portfolio management principles, as well as the ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you should be highly organized, manage a team of portfolio managers and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also working collaboratively with other team members.
What are the minimum requirements for the role?
6-8 years of Portfolio Management experience, working with either a management company or a Financial Services company
Previous experience managing a team
Extensive knowledge in alternative assets
Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel and Access (VBA skills would be considered as an advantage)
Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field desirable
Strong in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
Finance qualification such as CFA, CAIA and/or FRM an advantage
Fluent English (written and spoken) required. Any other language would be considered as an asset.
What is your role and responsibilities?
Execution of portfolio management duties with regard to alternative investments, especially, but not limited to, Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure
Managing and coordinating operations linked to private assets products and mandates
Coordinating with external service providers (administrators, custodians, legal, tax)
Optimising and automating processes
Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to investment portfolios for continuous improvement
Support the AIFM's Investment Committee
Working with external advisors, reviewing investment proposals, considering various strategies and restrictions. Ensure to comply with the investment strategies
Supporting the onboarding process of new clients by reviewing related Fund documentation and advise on tailor made solutions
Preparation of reports to the Board of Directors of the AIF's
Maintenance and upgrade of the investment- and ongoing monitoring processes by working independently on projects related to new requirements
Close collaboration with other teams within the Management Company
Ability to implement new regulations into the investment process
Manage a team of young professionals and be their point of escalation
