Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data and Analytics Team Lead with expertise in the Microsoft Data and Analytics stack to lead and rapidly grow our existing Microsoft Data and BI business within the Ergo Digital Practice.
This role requires a strong consulting background, a passion for data, and a deep understanding of Microsoft Power BI and/or data engineering within the MSFT stack.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing future work pipelines, working with clients to understand their data requirements, proactively supporting sales and presales, managing staffing resources, and delivering project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in a senior data role, knowledge of Azure Data Services, Microsoft Data and Analytics cloud stack, and Microsoft BI technologies.
Nice to have qualifications include relevant Microsoft data and BI accreditations, familiarity with DevOps, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and O365 suites of applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the future work pipelines of the practice in liaison with the Digital Practice Lead
* Work with clients to understand their data requirements and enable them to build an insightful data platform
* Proactively support sales and presales to meet sales targets
* Manage staffing resources and hire new resources as needed
* Deliver project outcomes through architectural QA and delivery management
* Technically mentor engineers in the practice
* Develop the direction of careers for the practice alongside company management team
* Provide strategic direction for services and technologies to drive growth
* Maintain cross-team collaboration between data team and wider Ergo Digital team
* Foster relationships with Microsoft to grow Ergo's profile in Data consulting with Microsoft
Requirements
* Microsoft Platform knowledge of Azure Data Services, Microsoft Data and Analytics cloud stack, and Microsoft BI technologies
* Experience in pre-sales activities such as proposal creation, tender responses, SOWs, and sales presentations
* Knowledge of standard data engineering ETL processes and best practice security roles and access
* Ability to lead data analytics and data engineering workshops with senior stakeholders
* Understanding of traditional and modern data platform architecture designs
* Previous on-prem SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS, Power BI experience
* Understanding of security's role in defining and designing data solutions
* Documentation skills (business focused, technology focused, and project focused)
* 7+ years of experience in a senior data role
