Retail Assistant - Full Time role at Morris's Builders Providers, DIY & Garden Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and energetic full-time Retail Assistant in a renowned leading builder's providers and DIY store. If you have experience in sales, are enthusiastic, and customer-focused, and want to work with a friendly, knowledgeable team of professionals, we'd like to hear from you!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a company celebrating over 40 years as the leading provider of building, trade and plumbing products in the southeast.

Main tasks/Responsibilities of the position:

* Processing Cash/Account counter sales.
* Engaging customers to proactively generate customer leads and enquiries.
* Efficient processing and follow-up of customer enquiries regarding all building materials.
* Continued expansion of product knowledge.
* Taking personal responsibility for resolving customer issues pre-sales and post-sale in a timely fashion.
* Merchandising and maintenance of all categories of stock.
* Monitoring and updating sales display areas when requested.
* Keeping up to date with new products and product knowledge.
* Flexible in this position and prepared to undertake such other work as may be assigned by the company from time to time.

Requirements

* Customer facing role with excellent communication skills.
* Ideally minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
* Good computer skills are desirable.
* Ability to organise time in a busy work environment.
* Energetic, proactive, and able to work towards goals without constant supervision.
* Efficient with a proven track record in meeting deadlines.
* A hunger to excel at sales with a proactive and dynamic sales approach.
