This role focuses on the design, operation, and continuous improvement of a production Kubernetes platform supporting containerized workloads at scale.Location:Dublin (hybrid model with weekly on-site presence)Role OverviewYou will be responsible for building and operating highly available Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments, implementing secure deployment patterns, and supporting development teams through platform engineering best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, deploy, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clustersDefine and implement container orchestration and deployment strategiesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based workloadsImplement security controls, networking configurations, and monitoring solutionsOptimize cluster performance, reliability, and resource utilizationProvide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert for KubernetesTroubleshoot complex issues across clusters, networking, and workloadsTechnical Requirements5+ years' experience in container orchestration with deep Kubernetes expertiseStrong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or CloudFormationExperience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, security, and observabilityExperience implementing service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go)Desirable ExperienceManaging multi-cluster Kubernetes environments and federationGitOps workflows and tools (e.g. Argo CD, Flux)Security-focused certifications (CKS, CCSP)Experience with cloud-native monitoring and observability stacksBackground in performance tuning, scaling, and capacity planningMust Have:Stamp 4, EU or Irish Passport.
