Pharmaceutical Tester

Main Responsibility:

* Conduct testing of pharmaceutical substances in a controlled environment to ensure quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The primary focus will be on GC and HPLC analysis, along with other analytical techniques as necessary.


Main Responsibilities:

1. Receive training from industry experts and clients in relevant analytical techniques.
2. Train junior analysts where appropriate.
3. Carry out testing according to valid procedures and regulatory guidelines.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment and perform calibrations at designated intervals.
5. Manage inventory and status of materials required for analysis.
6. Verify and review results generated by other analysts for accuracy and compliance.
7. Ensure accurate data entry into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
8. Evaluate testing results and close out batch analysis.
9. Meet target deadlines.
10. Update visibility tools and communicate testing status at meetings.
11. Maintain laboratories to a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
12. Promote a culture of quality and accuracy in lab records, ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
13. Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including SOPs, methods, and reports.
14. Collaborate with the team to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
15. SUPPORT achievement of key performance indicators, such as investigations, training, productivity, and on-time testing.
16. Notify appropriate contacts and document results and investigations for any abnormal findings.
17. Lead laboratory investigations and deviations if necessary.
18. Foster a safe working environment, prepared for audits at all times.
19. Identify and implement improvements in safety, environmental, quality, and service standards.
20. Work with leaders to ensure professional development and career progression.
21. Maintain a safe attitude by exercising due regard for your own health and safety, colleagues', and clients', in line with company policies and procedures.
22. Comply fully with the company's Code of Integrity, and act in accordance with its Equality & Diversity Policy.
