Excel Recruitment are looking for Experienced Furniture Assembly Fitter to join a growing Dublin based team. The ideal candidate would have to have 5+ years experience in furniture assembly. Specifically IKEA furniture assembly. A full clean drivers licence is also mandatory. Highly competitive weekly pay.
We sell high quality workmanship, in line with that you will be expected to deliver results at a very low rate of error. Learning something new is key and is part of the role, you will be expected to assemble new lines of furniture quickly. You work systematically. Excellent time keeping is important. You arrive on time and prepared – you will be provided with information prior to the assembly. You are energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to producing high-quality work.
Building slide door systems and fitting kitchens requires high attention to detail and high accuracy. You will have the ability to level components close to perfection. You are competent using a mitre saw for both timber and metal, rail guided skill saw, jigsaw, multitool and cordless drills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The ultimate goal is customer satisfaction. Job completion is key, we are bound to do our best to avoid repeated calls to the same customer.
2. Carrying out the days planned schedule of work; specifically executing the service order for each job on your daily schedule which involves:
Assembly of flat pack furniture
Securing or suspending the furniture onto the wall as required
Minor additional work on site such as removing skirting boards or cutting access to plug sockets (training provided), filler pieces where necessary.
Organising packaging for customers to remove and maintaining a tidy work space
3. Capture required details and customer signature on Service Reports
4. Report discrepancies or issues as they arise on jobs; advising the customer of next steps
5. Maintain a clean and tidy company van
Requirements:
6. Full clean drivers licence
7. Fluent English
8. Core competencies include: ability to read assembly manuals and modular storage plans, learning the assembly manuals for popular items. Comfortable with the use of multitool, cordless drill, jigsaw, rail guided skill saw, hammer drill.
